There is not one patient monitoring device in any male or female ward in any northern district hospital (a device to measure heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature). Countless men and women die in consequence of this, as it becomes impossible to monitor or treat patients needing critical care. But these deaths are preventable! Our impact reports have shown that mortalities rates significantly decrease in every hospital that has the medical equipment present to effectively monitor and care for their patients.
General medical supplies and equipment are needed in both male and female wards, such as blood pressure apparatus’, oxygen masks, stethoscopes, thermometers, pulse oximeters, razor blades (for investigating skin infections), tongue depressors, weighing scales, and more.
